Would you like to make a difference in the life of rangatahi who need some help to stay on their feet? This role will have you overseeing a community-driven, youth-centred initiative aimed at ensuring that young people’s experience of homelessness is brief, rare, and non-recurring.
We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and creative youth or social worker to lead this project and evolve it into a robust program which can be replicated across the country.
Massey Community Trust is a grassroots community trust supporting initiatives that empower our community. Funding has been secured for a 20 hour/week position with a term of one year at this stage.
Do you have:
Great communication skills?
The ability to empower others and build good interpersonal relationships?
Integrity and honesty?
Administration and organisational skills?
Strong computer literacy?
Experience in the field of social services, housing, community organising, youth work or other relevant work?
Experience in project management, project development, recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers?
Can you:
Co-create, develop, and implement a community-driven host homes initiative?
Engage youth in developing and evaluating the project?
Cultivate a culture of learning?
Monitor the wellbeing of young people in the program?
