Would you like to make a difference in the life of rangatahi who need some help to stay on their feet? This role will have you overseeing a community-driven, youth-centred initiative aimed at ensuring that young people’s experience of homelessness is brief, rare, and non-recurring.

We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and creative youth or social worker to lead this project and evolve it into a robust program which can be replicated across the country. 

Massey Community Trust is a grassroots community trust supporting initiatives that empower our community. Funding has been secured for a 20 hour/week position with a term of one year at this stage. 

Do you have:

• Great communication skills?

• The ability to empower others and build good interpersonal relationships?

• Integrity and honesty?

• Administration and organisational skills?

• Strong computer literacy?

• Experience in the field of social services, housing, community organising, youth work or other relevant work?

• Experience in project management, project development, recruiting, training,  and supporting volunteers?

Can you:

• Co-create, develop, and implement a community-driven host homes initiative?

• Engage youth in developing and evaluating the project?

• Cultivate a culture of learning?

• Monitor the wellbeing of young people in the program?
